The JUKI DDL-8700H is the heavy-duty champion of JUKI’s 1-needle lockstitch lineup, engineered to tackle thicker fabrics with precision and power. Designed for industrial sewing professionals, this machine combines high-speed performance with robust construction, making it ideal for medium to heavy-weight materials like denim, canvas, and upholstery fabrics. With its enhanced features and legendary JUKI reliability, the DDL-8700H delivers consistent, professional-grade seams that elevate your production quality.
The Juki DDL-8700H is designed to handle many types of lockstitch sewing for heavy-weight fabrics, such as denim, uniforms, and other thick materials.
With a maximum sewing speed of 4,000 sti/min and a maximum stitch length of 5mm, the DDL-8700H can handle all the straight lockstitching you need. It has a working space of 10.5″ from the needle to the machine arm to handle a larger amount of fabric. The throat plate has marker grooves with different seam widths for easy reference. Need to sew something even heavier? The throat plate and feed dogs can be exchanged for options specifically designed for thicker materials.
Bobbins wind quickly with the built-in winder that sits on the right side of the head. Simply thread the bobbin, wind it a little, put it onto the spindle, push it in place, and touch the foot pedal for a fast refill.
The LED light means you’ll have an easier time seeing what you’re sewing.
This industrial machine also has low vibration and high responsiveness that consistently produces the best seaming.
DDL-8700H: Timing is for needle sizes #16–#22. Uses the DB×1 needle system. Comes with heavier feed dogs, a heavier throat plate, a larger presser foot, and a higher needle stroke. The H version is designed to sew denim and materials that require using thicker thread up to size 92 (TEX 90).
The optimum-balance and highly rigid machine head were created using the latest 3D-CAD design technology. Thanks to its low vibration and low noise feature, the machine head provides the operator with a comfortable work environment. In addition, the distance from the machine arm to the needle on the front of the machine head is sufficiently wide to allow easy handling of the sewing material.
The machine inherits the desirable features, such as high-speed stitching performance of 4,000 sti/min, extreme stitching performance, ease of operation, and reliability, from the highly evaluated previous JUKI lockstitch machines. (DDL-8700: 5,500 sti/min.)
By thoroughly investigating and modifying the sewing mechanisms in order to achieve low-tension sewing, the machine flexibly responds to various kinds of heavy-weight materials and produces beautiful seams of consistent quality.
The machine is provided as standard with extra attachment mounting seats for attachment of new auxiliary parts in the future. The extremely high durability of the seats ensures an extended service with frequent replacement of attachments.
By providing a presser foot with a higher lift (13mm), a light-touch stitch dial, a throat plate with marker grooves that can be used as guide for seam allowance, and other easy-to-operate functions, the burden on the operator is lightened, and productivity is further increased.
Thanks to the speed control feature, most users find the machine easier to use. Both beginner and advanced sewers find this feature helpful when stitching projects that require high-speed and precise stitching.

If there is a critical issue that needs to be addressed and is out of scope of minor adjustments or repairs, we will ask you to send us the machine to our shop so we can have it repaired and have it back to good sewing condition. In most cases, we will only need the machine head shipped to us. Shipping charges - both inbound and outbound - are the responsibility of the customer.
